Isaac Jaramillo

Isaac Jaramillo

Isaac Jaramillo was named the assistant coach for the men's basketball program on April 30th 2026.

Jaramillo joins the Eagles after serving the past three years as Recruiting Coordinator and Director of Player Development at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.

"We're thrilled to welcome Coach Jaramillo to our staff," Sherman said. "He brings a proven track record as a relentless recruiter, an exceptional developer of players, and, most importantly, a winner. His energy and commitment to our student-athletes will have an immediate impact on our program."

During his time with the Falcons, Jaramillo helped guide the program to 50 wins over the past two seasons, including two NAIA National Tournament appearances. The team's 26 wins this past season marked its highest total since 2013–14. He also coached eight All-KCAC selections, including the 2025 KCAC Player of the Year.

In addition to his collegiate experience, Jaramillo serves as head coach of the Kansas City-based AAU program PAC Basketball 16s.

Prior to Friends, Jaramillo was an assistant coach at Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois, working under former CMU Eagle Tyler Bredehoeft. There, he helped lead the Golden Eagles to 20 wins and coached two All-Region selections.

Jaramillo previously served as head coach at Pleasant Ridge High School from 2020–22, compiling a 34–11 record. In his first season, he led the Rams to their first league championship in 12 years. In his second year, the team recorded the second-most wins in school history and advanced to the sub-state championship game for the second time. He coached four All-League selections, two All-State honorable mentions, and helped two players advance to the collegiate level.

From 2018–20, Jaramillo was a graduate assistant at the University of Saint Mary, where he coached two All-Conference selections, including one who went on to play professionally. His responsibilities included recruiting, on-court coaching, player development, film breakdown, scouting, and travel coordination, as well as assisting with summer camps.

Jaramillo also spent time as an assistant coach at Summit Christian Academy and Immaculata High School, helping develop five players who went on to compete at the NCAA Division I and NAIA levels.

A Kansas City native, Jaramillo attended Pembroke Hill, where he earned All-District and All-State Honorable Mention honors. As a senior, he led his team in points, assists, and steals. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in entrepreneurship from UMKC and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Saint Mary.

What they're saying:

"Isaac was my first hire when I took over at Friends, and has been everything I'd hoped for in an assistant and more. He is a workhorse, knows the game, and is an elite developer of players. He will be missed at Friends, but I'm extremely excited to see what he does at Central Methodist." – Phil McClintock, Head Coach, Friends University

"Isaac was a big part of our success at Rock Valley as we transitioned to NJCAA D2 during his first year. He is an excellent recruiter and will do great at Central Methodist University. As an Alum of CMU, I am happy for him and the program." – Tyler Bredehoeft, Head Coach, Columbia College
