Fayette, Mo. - Central Methodist Men's Basketball delivered an impressive performance Wednesday night, rolling past Baker 85–59 behind an efficient offensive effort and dominant work on the glass.
With the win, CMU improves to 13-7 and 7-5 in the Heart of America, while Baker drops to 7-12 and 5-6 in conference action.
Isaiah Reams led all scorers with a game-high 21 points, shooting six-of-10 from the floor and eight-of-nine at the free-throw line. He also added five assists and five rebounds.
Tyson Oghene followed with 16 points and five assists.
Austin Prater recorded a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 17 rebounds, anchoring the Eagles inside and sparking several transition chances.
CMU's bench provided a strong lift, contributing 31 points. Isaiah Bonaparte scored eight points with three assists, while Markus Perkins added 10 points on four-of-six shooting, and Noah Fassinut chipped in five points.
The Eagles shot 50.9 percent from the field (29-of-57) and knocked down eight three-pointers while also capitalizing at the free-throw line, going 19-of-25 for a 76 percent clip.
Central controlled the glass, outrebounding Baker, 40–31, and forced BU into 16 turnovers.
Defensively, the Eagles totaled nine steals and limited Baker to just 33.3 percent shooting from the field and 26.9 percent from three-point range.
CMU heads out on the road for a three-game road swing, beginning with a matchup against William Woods Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Fulton, Missouri.
The Eagles bested the Owls in the previous matchup in Fayette by a final score of 79-68 on Jan. 7.
