Fayette, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's Basketball team saw its double-digit lead slip away to Missouri Valley College Wednesday night inside Puckett Field House.
Central fell to the Vikings by a final score of 70-65, as MVC outscored CMU, 44-24 in the second half.
The Eagles and Vikings are now both 7-4 overall and 3-2 in the Heart of America.
CMU saw three of its starters land in double figures, as Isaiah Reams led the way with 19 points, while adding seven rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
Tyson Oghene finished the evening with 16 points, 12 of which came from the three-point line. Raphael Gay rounded out Central's double-digit scorers with 10 points while grabbing a team-best nine rebounds. He also tallied two blocks and a steal.
Both Tommie Williams and Davion Guity each chipped in nine points. Additionally, Williams contributed six rebounds, five assists, one steal, and a block.
MVC held a 43-39 advantage on the boards, and converted 14-of-16 free throw attempts. Central finished the night shooting 14-of-21 (66.7 percent) from the charity stripe.
Central will next head to Mission University for a non-conference matchup Saturday, Dec. 6, at 3:00 p.m. in Springfield, Mo.
