Peru, Neb. – Central Methodist Men's Basketball program capped off the 2025–26 regular season Saturday afternoon, earning a 68-49 road victory over Peru State College.
With the win, Central ends the regular season 17-10 overall and 11-8 in conference play.
The Eagles secured a double-digit lead by halftime, 37-22, with a balanced offense. The Bobcats responded in the second half, but the Eagles maintained control. CMU outscored Peru 31-27 over the final 20 minutes to secure the 19-point win.
Isaiah Reams led all scorers finishing with 20 points on seven-of-14 shooting while adding four rebounds and two assists.
Tyson Oghene followed with 14 points and three steals, while Austin Prater added 10 points and six rebounds.
Isaiah Bonaparte chipped in nine points and six rebounds, while Raphael Gay grabbed a game high seven boards.
As a team, the Eagles shot 39.7 percent from the field while holding the Bobcats to 33.3 percent shooting. Central also outrebounded Peru State 41-38 and limited the Bobcats to zero percent shooting from beyond the arc.
CMU will now wait to see what seed they have earned for the upcoming Heart postseason tournament, which will be known once all conference games from the weekend have been completed
