Fayette, Mo. - Central Methodist sophomore guard Kevin James earned 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District honors in the NAIA Division.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First, second, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on April 15, 2025.
James, a native of Massillon, Ohio, earns All-District honors for the first time in his career.
He appeared in all 29 games for the Eagles, with five starts. James averaged 5.7 points and 2.5 rebounds in 2024-25. He reached double figures in five games, with his best performance coming against William Penn on January 11th.
Against the Statesmen, James scored 20 points in 32 minutes while shooting 66 percent from the floor.
CMU finished the year with a 15-14 record and a 12-12 mark in the Heart of America, securing a spot in the Heart Tournament Quarterfinals.
