Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist junior guard Destin Jenkins was named the Heart of America Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week, which was announced by the conference office. 

It marks the first Heart weekly award for Jenkins and the Eagles this season. 

The native of Atlanta, Georgia, led Central to a 1-1 record, averaging 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and four assists/game in the two games. 

Jenkins and the Eagles are currently 6-3 and 3-2 in the Heart of America. They will host first place Baker University Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
