Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist Men's Basketball junior guard TreVon Smith was named the Heart Player of the Week by the conference office Monday. 

It marks the first weekly honor for the Campesllville, Kentucky native. 

Smith averaged 24 points while shooting 60 percent from three in the Eagles' two wins this past week. Against Benedictine College Wednesday, Smith scored 26 points and knocked down an incredible seven-of-10 three-point baskets in the 90-58 win. 

He followed that up with 22 points in 30 minutes of action against the Bobcats on Saturday. Smith also averaged four rebounds/game. 

The Eagles are currently 8-1 and 4-1 in the Heart of America. Central will travel to Olathe, Kansas to face MidAmerica Nazarene University on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m.
