Springfield, Mo. - The Central Methodist men's basketball team concluded the Show Me Global Logistics Classic with an 84-70 victory over College of the Ozarks Saturday night in Springfield, Mo.
Central improves its overall record to 5-0 while the Bobcats fall to 2-6.
The Eagles held a slim 41-39 lead at halftime, before outscoring College of the Ozarks 43-31 in the second to earn a 14-point victory.
Jonathan Brown led the offense, pouring in a career-high 26 points on 60-percent shooting from the field. Tim Cameron followed with 14 points while Isaiah May tallied 13 points. Fode Camara was the final Eagle to land in double figures, scoring 10 points.
The Eagles shot 49.2-percent from the field including 47.4-percent from beyond the arc. May led the sharpshooters with three three-point baskets. Central was also extremely efficient from the charity stripe, converting on 81.3-percent of its free throw attempts.
CMU won the battle of the boards, grabbing 34 rebounds compared to just 16 for the Bobcats.
The Eagles' defense finished the evening with eight steals and four blocks. Cameron led the way with four steals and two blocks.
Central returns home to host the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy Monday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
