Three Eagles Tabbed as All-Conference

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Three Central Methodist men's basketball players earned All-Conference honors, the conference office announced Monday.

Isaiah Thurmond (SR/Alton, Ill.) was named Heart All-Conference Second Team, while Terrance Bush (SR/Des Moines, Iowa) and Josh Robinson (JR/Normal, Ill.) earned Heart All-Conference Honorable Mention. Thurmond and Bush both received the same recognition last year, while Robinson earned the recognition in his first season with the Eagles.

Thurmond led Central Methodist with 15.9 points/game, which ranked seventh in the Heart. He also averaged 4.1 rebounds/game and 2.6 assists/game. His shooting splits were 45/40/83 (FG %, 3-PT %, FT%). His free-throw percentage ranked second in the Heart among qualified players.

Bush led Central Methodist with 72 made three-pointers, racking up 13.2 points/game with a shooting split of 39/36/88. He snagged 4.8 rebounds/game and also averaged 1.6 steals/game, which ranked fourth in the Heart.

In his first season at Central Methodist, Robinson directed the offense to the tune of 3.7 assists/game, which ranked sixth in the Heart. Robinson also averaged 10.6 points/game (43/36/66) and 3.0 rebounds/game.

A strong final week of conference play slotted Central Methodist into the No. 6 seed for the Heart Conference Tournament. The Eagles will take on No. 3 seed William Penn in Oskaloosa, Iowa, on Thursday, March 7 at 7 pm.
