FAYETTE, Mo. – The No. 24 Central Methodist University men's basketball team never quite got into a groove in their 90-75 loss to Grand View University on Saturday evening.
The Eagles (12-9, 7-8 Heart) played from behind much of the game, despite shooting above their season average. The squad finished 47.5 percent from the field, but were unable to stop the hot-shooting Vikings who posted a 60.7 percentage.
Central Methodist was led by Terrance Bush (SR/Des Moines, Iowa) and Erick Locke (SR/Oak Park, Ill.) off of the bench. Bush was the high-roller with 22 points, going 5-for-8 from beyond the arc while adding four rebounds and three steals. Locke tallied 12 points while dishing out six assists. Cameron Tutt (SR/Owensboro, Ky.) rounded out the double digit scoring with 10 points.
The Eagles will return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 30, to host Culver-Stockton College on Student Life Night. The event will feature a slew of prizes, a raffle opportunity, and the chance to win a $500 gift card at halftime. Tipoff is set for 5:30 pm.
