(Fayette MO) The CMU Men's Basketball team posted a victory of Culver-Stockton College (CSC), sweeping the season series.
Two double double efforts for CMU led the way, with Cole Adair (SR/Fishers, Ind.)'s 28 pts with 10 rbds, and Ron Lee (SR/Oak Park, Calif.) adding 17 pts and 10 rbds for the Eagles. Bo Burkhart (JR/Evansville, Ind.) also scored in double figures with 14, while dishing out 4 assists. With the win, the Eagles improve their record to 17 and 12, 14 and 11 in the Heart of America Conference.
The Eagles led 38-31 at half, shooting 42.9% in the half. They managed to shoot even better in the second half against the Wildcats, posting a blistering 56.3% from the field in the last 20 minutes.
Head Men's Basketball Coach Jeff Sherman was happy for the win, "It was a good win for us, especially against Culver's zone. We have not seen zone for a whole game like we did tonight, and it really slowed our scoring in the first half. Cole Adair had another big game for us with 28 and 10. Ron Lee also did great, and I was particularly impressed by his 10 rebounds on, what was for him, an off night of scoring."
The Eagles will close the regular season this weekend, hosting Evangel University Saturday for Senior Day. The ball tips at 4:00pm.
