FAYETTE, Mo. - Central Methodist looks to rebound Saturday and win its fifth game in its last six outings when Avila (Mo.) comes to Puckett Field House for a Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) tilt at 4 p.m. CT.

Avila has won three of its last four games and ranks ninth in NAIA Division I in turnover margin (3.7), 20th in steals per game (9.0), 22nd in assists (373) and 25th in rebound defense (33.4). Sedrick Johnson ranks second in steals per game (2.6) and 11th in points per game (20.4) and leads the HAAC in scoring. Brandon Murillo is third in 3-pointers made (77). Jeremy Fennell is sixth in assist/turnover ratio (3.1).�
Johnson scored a game-high 23 points in his team's 77-74 upset of then-ranked No. 22 Central Methodist on Jan. 10 in Kansas City.

Central Methodist's has been ranked or receiving votes in the last four NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Polls.
Coach Jeff Sherman's team has won five of the last six games against Avila.
Central Methodist held a 12-point, first-half lead before faltering late. Avila was outrebounded, 45-28, including 16-5 on the offensive glass, but Central Methodist made just 17-of-33 (51 percent) from the charity stripe.
Mitchell Farr tallied 27 points in an 88-75 triumph over Avila (Mo.) in Puckett Field House last season. Farr was 9-of-13 shooting overall, including 5-of-6 from 3-point range and 4-of-4 from the line to go along with five rebounds.�

The Eagles are 18-9 in their last 27 conference games.
Cody Anderson ranks fourth in NAIA Division I in assist/turnover ratio (3.2) and 45th in assists (80). Mitchell Farr is 10th in 3-pointers made (70) and 40th in scoring (389). Scott Stegeman is 23rd in rebounds (186) and 26th in offensive rebounds per game (2.8).
