Senior Clint Hamilton (Pflugerville, Texas) scored 12 points in the first 8:07 of the game, helping Central Methodist jump out to a 21-8 lead in the first 10 minutes. The Runnin' Eagles never led by less than 11 points the remainder of the game, stretching their lead to as many as 19 points in the first half before holding a 38-21 lead at halftime following a three-pointer at the buzzer by junior Mike Regan (Knob Noster, Mo.). Culver-Stockton got to within 12 at 43-31 with 15:05 left in the game, but CMU pulled away for the 36-point win.

CMU shot 52.5 percent from the field in the game, including 12-of-22 from three-point range. The Runnin' Eagles held Culver-Stockton to 33.3 percent shooting from the field, and just 3-of-15 from beyond the arc. The Wildcats scored nearly one-third of its points from the free-throw line, converting 13-of-18 attempts, while Central Methodist shot just eight free-throws in the game, making four. CMU forced the Wildcats to commit 15 turnovers in the game. The Runnin' Eagles finished with 37 rebounds to Culver-Stockton's 27, and CMU outscored the Wildcats 19-0 on second-chance points.

Hamilton recorded season-highs of 17 points and 11 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. Regan finished with 12 points. Senior Jake Clark (St. Charles, Mo.) posted 10 points and seven rebounds, while sophomore Derek Kitch (Hallsville, Mo.) finished with nine points on 3-of-3 from the field and 3-of-3 from the free-throw line. Junior Courtney Blakes (Monroe, La.) had a team-high five assists, while senior Tyler Bredehoeft (Alma, Mo.) accounted for three of CMU's eight steals.

Central Methodist improved to 7-13 on the season and 2-8 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Culver-Stockton fell to 1-17 overall and 1-8 in the HAAC with the loss. CMU will be back in action Thursday in a 7:30 p.m. game at Missouri Valley College.
