Atchison, Kan. - The Central Methodist Men's Wrestling team picked up its second consecutive dual victory with a 39-9 win over Benedictine College Saturday afternoon in Atchison, Kan. 

The Eagles improve their overall duals record to 6-5 in 2022-23. Benedictine's duals record now stands at 2-5. 

Central opened the dual with three straight wins by Fall from Colton King, No. 12 Jason Shaw and Mitchell Huber. Junior 149-pound grappler Xavien Jackson pushed the Eagles lead to 23-0 with a 16-0 Tech Fall win over Daryl Easterling. 

Benedictine grabbed their first win of the day at 157-pounds by Fall, picking up six team points. Donald Griffin and Justin McEnaney earned back-to-back victories at the 165 and 174 pounds to extend CMU's lead to 29-6. 

The Ravens' second and final victory came at 184-pounds, as Jensen McDermott defeated Sincere Hall-Osborne by a close 7-4 decision. 

Freshman Elijah Hynes earned a convincing 8-1 decision at 197 pounds, while Brenden Shelton earned a forfeit victory at 285.  

Central will next compete in the Missouri Valley Invitational beginning Friday, Jan. 20 in Marshall, Mo.
