Chris Gambill was a four-year varsity player for the women's basketball team. At the time of her induction in 1996, Gambill still held several school records including; single season assist average (7.8), career assist average (6.3) and career assists (493).
In her four season's with the Eagles, she tallied 580 career points.
Gambill also played softball for CMC and was apart of the 1981 team that made the program's first-ever appearance at the NAIA World Series. That team was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2007.
After she received her bachelor of science degree in education from Central, Chris then earned a master of eduction degree from the University of Missouri in 1986.
She served as the Head Women's Basketball Coach at CMC from 1985-87 and was Head Softball Coach from 1984-87. In 1987, she accepted a position with the Columbia Public School District as an elementary physical education teacher. Gambill was also an assistant coach at Hickman High School in basketball and soccer, while serving as head softball coach.
