No. 14 Vikings Complete Comeback to Knock Off Central Wednesday Night

Marshall, Mo. - The Central Methodist Women's Wrestling team fell in a tight contest to No. 14 Missouri Valley College in a Wednesday night dual, 27-20, in Marshall. 

Central picked up victories in four consecutive weight classes, beginning with Victoria Nunez at 116 pounds via pin. No. 15 Allison Hynes followed that up with a pin at 123 pounds while No. 19 Nonnie Justice won her bout via forfeit at 130. 

Emily Neumann secured an upset win over No. 18 Madeline Santana by a 7-4 decision in the 136 pound dual. 

The Vikings would close the dual out winning four-straight bouts to secure a 27-20 win over Central. 

CMU will turn its attention to the postseason, beginning with the Heart of America Conference Championships Saturday, Feb. 24 in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
