Fayette, Mo. - The No. 18 Central Methodist Women's Wrestling program competed in its final home dual of the 2024-25 season, playing host to No. 10 Missouri Valley College Wednesday night inside Puckett Field House.
Central also recognized its 2024-25 Senior Class, which included Corinne McClure, Victoria Nunez, Emma Cole, Mckenna Deckelman, Destiny Gonzalez, Shianne Whited, Allison Hynes, Lillian Gough, and Tambria Wilson.
The Eagles fell to the Vikings by a final score of 33-14, ending their dual season with a 4-4 record.
Freshman Gabriella Cedeno picked up the first dual win of the night, pinning No. 17 Sage Beltran in the 103-pound weight class in the second period.
CMU fell in its next two weight classes before No. 18 nationally ranked Allison Hynes earned an upset win over No. 2 Isla Baeza by an 8-2 decision at 124 pounds.
Missouri Valley's 131, 138, 145, 160, and 180-pound weight classes all picked up victories in their respective duals. Central's Christina Page ended the dual with a win at 207 pounds by a 5-1 decision.
Central will compete in one final tournament before the postseason begins at the Wildcat Open on Saturday, Feb. 15, in Baldwin City, Kansas.
