Columbia, Mo. - The Central Methodist Women's Basketball team suffered its first loss of the year against (RV) Columbia College Wednesday night in Columbia, Mo.
Central fell to the Cougars by a score of 77-62.
Kayhla Adams led Central's offense with 23 points on eight-of-17 shooting from the floor including four-of-nine from long range. Sa'Mya Stevens also landed in double figures with 20 points while also chipping in five rebounds and three rebounds.
Tristan Porter rounded out the double-digit scorers for Central with 10 points. She also tallied five rebounds and dished out an assist.
The difference in the game proved to be on the glass, as Central was outrebounded by Columbia, 45-27. The Cougar's defense also held Central to just 36.7 percent shooting from the floor, while CC knocked down nearly 50 percent of their field goal attempts.
Central travels to nearby Fulton to take on William Woods University on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 12:00 p.m.
