Kansas City, Mo. - For the second time this season, Central Methodist sophomore guard Leianya Massenat was tabbed as the Heart Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the conference office Monday. 

Massenat led the Eagles to a 3-0 record this past week, including wins over Evangel, MidAmerica Nazarene, and Baker. The native of Trenton, N.J. averaged 16.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and five assists/game during the three game stretch. 

Against the Pioneers, Massenat dropped a career-high 30 points along with 10 points to earn a double-double. Through just two and a half seasons, she has tallied 987 points, just 13 away from 1000 for her career. 

The Eagles are off to their best start in program history, posting a perfect 19-0 record and a 13-0 mark in the Heart. 

Massenat and the Eagles will next host Benedictine College Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 5:30 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
