Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist sophomore guard Leianya Massenat was named the Heart Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the conference office Monday.
The native of Trenton, N.J. tallied a career-high 31 points in Central's 101-52 win at Graceland, converting on five-of-10 attempts from beyond the arc.
She followed that up with 21 points and nine rebounds in CMU's seven point victory over No. 5 Clarke Saturday.
On the week, Massenat averaged 26 points and 10 rebounds/game.
The Eagles are now a perfect 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the Heart. Central will next travel to MidAmerica Nazarene to play the Pioneers Wednesday Nov. 30 at 5:30 p.m. in Olathe, Kan.
