KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Central Methodist University women's basketball program held steady at No. 8 in the third edition of the NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
The Eagles, who boasted an overall record of 14-1 at the time of the voting period, received 175 points in the poll. The squad is currently ranked in 18 categories at the NAIA Division I level, including ranking 2nd in scoring offense per game (88.56) and 5th in steals per game (15), field goal percentage (.464), and total steals (241).
Central leads two Heart opponents that were mentioned in the rankings: No. 19 Grand View and No. 21 Clarke. William Penn, Benedictine, and MidAmerica Nazarene were also mentioned in the "others receiving votes" category.
The Eagles will be back in action this evening (Jan. 15) to host William Penn. Game time is set for 5:30 PM in Puckett Field House.
