Mercedes Jefflo Named #HeartWBB Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Central Methodist University student-athlete Mercedes Jefflo (JR/Compton, Calif.) has received her first Heart of America Athletic Conference weekly award for the season.

Jefflo was named as the women's basketball Player of the Week for the Heart of America Athletic Conference following an impressive performance in her season debut in an 87-77 victory over Friends University. She led all scorers with 25 points in the contest while also tacking on six rebounds, five assists, four steals, and one block in the stat-stuffing performance.

The Eagles are 9-4 on the season thus far and 5-2 against conference opponents. The team returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 2, to host (RV) Clarke University at 5:30 pm.
