"Being her second time earning this honor, I think this says a lot about how special a player she is and how much this program believes in her," said CMU associate head coach Greg Ray.�"She has a great group of ladies surrounding her, which allows her to display her talents and skill set.� Anyone who puts up the numbers she's putting up and smiles every time she takes the court is a special person.�We've been demanding a lot out of "NeNe" this season, and she's accepted that challenge and taken it to another level."

DaJonee Hale led the 23rd ranked Lady Eagles to a pair of conference victories last week against 8th ranked MidAmerica Nazarene University and Peru State College. Last Wednesday, Hale led the Lady Eagles with 24 points in her 36 minutes of action. She shot 9-of-14 from the floor and 4-of-6 from beyond the three-point arc. Hale also finished with six rebounds, five assists, and four steals.

On Saturday, Hale led the Lady Eagles to a lopsided victory over Peru State College with a double-double in only 22 minutes of action. She finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, three steals, and two blocks in the victory. Hale also shot 5-of-6 from the free-throw line.

The 23rd�ranked Lady Eagles hit the road this Wednesday to face Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. The women will get things started at 5:30pm, followed by the men at 7:30pm. The Lady Eagles return to Fayette on Saturday to host Avila University at 2pm.

"We are going through the conference for the second time and are looking to improve on the things we didn't do so well on the first time through," said Ray.�"Every game we're looking to shore up the little things and no game is more important than the next one.�Evangel is next on the schedule, so our focus is on them and not having any letdowns when we get to Springfield on Wednesday."
