Cristo Rey High School senior Moneshia Clayborn became the first athlete in her school's history to sign a letter of intent to play college athletics when she signed to join the Central Methodist University women's basketball program for the 2010-11 season.

Clayborn, a 5-foot-4-inch guard, became the sixth recruit to sign with the CMU women for the upcoming season. The Kansas City native was a vocal leader for Cristo Rey with her hard-nosed, defensive attitude. Clayborn helped her team to a four-game win streak as she closed out her high school career.

"We are very excited to have Moneshia on board," CMU Head Coach Andi Brooks said. "We love her approach to the game in that every second is played with 100 percent effort. Her personality and work ethic are infectious, and we are excited to get her at CMU."
