Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Central Methodist Men's Golf program began the 2022 Fall campaign at the U.C. Ferguson Classic Monday and Tuesday in Oklahoma City, Okla.
The two-day tournament, which was shortened from 54 to 36 holes, featured over 100 golfers from 18 different schools.
CMU placed eighth out of 18 teams, with a final team score of 562. Senior Matias Baccola was the highest finisher for the Eagles, tying for 18th with a total score of 138.
Aaron Teece placed T26, shooting two-under par for a two-round score of 140. Tomas Lopez Mazzalay (T47, 144), Chad Coburn (T51, 145), and Gaite Brauns (T56, 146) rounded on the top five golfers for CMU.
Central will next host the CMU Fall Invitational Monday, Sept. 12 at Hail Ridge Golf Course in Boonville, Mo.
