Baccola earns final Heart Men's Golfer of the Week award

Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist senior men's golfer Matias Baccola earned the final Heart Men's Golfer of the Week award of the 2021-22 year Monday afternoon.

This marks the second Heart Men's Golfer of the Week award for Baccola, as he was also recognized back on April 5.

Last week, the native of La Falda, Argentina won the individual title with a -10 under-par performance at the Heart Golf Championships at The Golf Club at Creekmoor in Raymore, Mo.

He shot rounds of 72, 68, and 66 to win the event by nine strokes. In addition, Baccola led the men to their first conference championship since the 2013 season. For his efforts at the championship, he was recognized as the Men's Golfer of the Year and an All-Conference performer.

Baccola and the Eagles will next compete at the 2022 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship May 17-20 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.
