Hourel Jr. Tabbed as NAIA Second Team All-American by Associated Press

Fayette, Mo. - Central Methodist junior linebacker Treyvion Hourel Jr. was named an Associated Press (AP) NAIA Second Team All-American Friday.

Hourel Jr., a native of Andalusia, Alabama, is the first Eagle to earn All-America honors from any organization since Davion Stockard earned AFCA Honorable Mention honors in 2022.

He finished the season with a team leading 114 tackles, averaging more than 10 tackles/game. His aggressive play resulted in 16.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, a pair of interceptions and four pass breakups.

Additionally, Hourel Jr. returned an extra point attempt for two points against Culver-Stockton College.

He delivered several standout performances throughout the year, including a season-high 17 tackles against No. 3 Benedictine (KS) and 13 tackles vs. Peru State.

In the season opener against NCAA Division II Missouri S&T, Hourel Jr., recorded nine tackles, including three tackles for loss, a forced fumble, and an interception. For his efforts against the Miners, Hourel Jr. was recognized as the NAIAFBALL National Defensive Player of the Week.

At the conclusion of the year, he was named a Heart South Division All-Conference First Team Defensive selection for his play.
