Indianapolis, Ind. - Central Methodist linebacker Davion Stockard has been invited to the 2023 National Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Ind.
The week long event, which kicks off Monday, Jan. 23, provides athletes the opportunity to showcase their athletic abilities to the next level. The combine is entering its 12 year and provides comprehensive athletic performance testing, position drills, and a Collegiate Showcase to athletes from all around the country.
In addition, participants will have the opportunity to interview and interact with scouts and former players from numerous professional leagues including the NFL, CFL, and the Arena League.
Stockard, an AFCA-NAIA Honorable Mention All-American, appeared and started all 11 games at middle linebacker for CMU in 2022. He also served as a Team Captain. The Heart First Team All-Conference selection led the Eagles and the conference with 117 total tackles, averaging more than 10 tackles/game.
Stockard forced six fumbles in 2022 which led the nation and set a new single-season program record. One of those he returned for a touchdown against Culver-Stockton on Sept. 24. He also recorded three sacks and broke up six passes.
