With the loss, Central Methodist falls to 3-6 overall and 1-2 in the South Division of the Heart of America Athletic Conference. With the victory, #3 Baker improves to 8-1 overall and remain perfect at 3-0 in the South Division.

The Wildcats got on the board first on Saturday. Baker put together a short three play 80 yard drive that was capped off on a 22 yard touchdown pass from Logan Brettrell to Cornell Brown to give Baker a 7-0 lead halfway through the first quarter.

Baker scored their second touchdown of the afternoon on a 77 yard punt return early in the second quarter, before the Eagles struck. Central Methodist put together a six play 80 yard drive that ended with a 42 yard touchdown pass from Caleb Bedford to Keenan Honroe to put the score at 14-7 in baker's favor. The Wildcats struck one more time for their third touchdown of the afternoon to make it 21-7 at halftime.

The Baker Wildcats scored twice in the third quarter, first with a field goal on their opening drive. Then with 19 seconds left in the third quarter, the Wildcats score their fourth touchdown on the game but failed to make the extra point to put the score at 30-7 in favor of Baker.

Central Methodist scored a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter. The first on a two-yard Tyler Steinkamp touchdown run to cut the score to 30-14. Less than four minutes later, Caleb Bedford hooked up with Jamall Williams for a 12 yard passing touchdown. However that would end the scoring for CMU, as the Eagles fell 40-21 to the 3rd ranked Baker Wildcats.

Offensively for CMU, Tyler Steinkamp finished with 15 carries for 67 yards and two touchdowns. Keenan Honroe had three catches for 101 yards and a touchdown, while Jamall Williams finished with three catches for 65 yards and a touchdown.

Defensively, Christopher Collins recorded nine tackles, one tackle for a loss and he had an interception. Wes Davis finished with eight tackles, two tackles for a loss, and one sack.

The Eagles come home to Fayette for the final two weeks of the regular season, beginning this coming Saturday November 7th against MidAmerica Nazarene University. Kickoff is scheduled for 1pm at Davis Field.
