FAYETTE, Mo. - Two days after its first full gear practice of Spring Ball, Central Methodist was back in shells for Friday's fourth session at Davis Field with coach Jody Ford feeling good about the squad's development.
The Eagles braved temperatures in the upper 40s while working outdoors. The team started the session focused on position drills before moving to 11-on-11 workouts, individual instruction and playbook expansion.
Ford limited contact during the session. Dressed in limited gear, the players were urged to stay off the ground by using "thud" tackle techniques in 11-on-11 segments.![]()
The Eagles got plenty accomplished during the Friday practice.
"I feel good about where we're at on both sides of the ball," Ford said. "These guys are doing a great job of coming out here with intent. It's starting to look like football. Our guys are on the right track, doing the right things."
