Eight CMU Football Players Named NAIA Scholar-Athletes
The Central Methodist University football team had eight players named to the list of 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, including a pair of repeat honorees.

Senior Tyler Padgett (Jefferson City, Mo.) and junior Tyler Belt (Macon, Mo.) were named Scholar-Athletes for the second straight season. Joining them as honorees for 2010 were juniors Ryan Adams (Slater, Mo.), Kyle Gibson (Columbia, Mo.), Caleb Haynes (Higginsville, Mo.), Jacob Heppner (Mansfield, Mo.), Ryan Mallady (Lithia, Fla.), and Cody Wallingford (Gower, Mo.).

The eight players from CMU were among the 231 student-athletes representing 60 teams from across the nation as 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. In order to be selected as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, an individual must have achieved at least junior academic standing and maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale.
