Baldwin City, Kan. - Behind two Top 10 finishes from Junior Katherine Bangert and Freshman Kjirsten Guilford, the Central Methodist Women's Cross Country team competed in the Mike Spielman Classic Friday evening in Baldwin City, Kan.
The field featured 44 total runners across four programs including; host Baker University, CMU, Haskell and MidAmerica Nazarene.
Bangert finished in fifth place in the 5K with a time of 20:24.95. Guilford also landed in the Top 10 in 10th place in a time of 20:55.27.
Isabella Ross placed 18th in 22:00.50 while Morgan Miller finished 20th in 22:11.84. Natalie Garr, Emalee Harris, and Baileigh Morris also ran for the Eagles.
As a team, Central finished in fourth place while host school Baker University won the team title with 38 points. Abigail Allred of MidAmerica Nazarene won the individual title in a time of 19:38.81.
The Eagles will turn their attention to the postseason, beginning with the Heart Championships Saturday, Nov. 5 in Des Moines, Iowa.
