Columbia, Mo. - The Central Methodist University cross country teams began its 2020 regular season at the Columbia College Invite in Columbia, Mo., as both squads posted a sixth-place finish Saturday morning. 

Other teams competing in the invite included; Columbia College, MNU, Missouri Baptist, Hanibal-LaGrange, Cottey College, St. Louis College of Pharmacy, and Williams Baptist. 

The women began the day with the 5K race at 10:30 a.m., and senior Lisa Sauter led the Eagles with a second-place finish in a time of 19:31. Teammate Madeline Wieseman posted a new PR time of 20:47 for an 18th place finish. Katelyn Moeller, Sarah King and Kailey Johnson rounded out CMu's Top-5 runners.

On the men's side, Radovan Kemboi posted a 3rd place finish with a time of 25:53. Tyler Reinkemyer finished in 23rd, Jacob Sanders 38th, and Tyler Perkins in 39th place. Zy'Shone Cowans rounded out the top-5 runners for the Eagles with a 45th place finish. 

Emily Bayer and Alexander Dukes of Columbia College took home women's and men's individual titles, as did the Cougars with both team championships. For a complete list of CMU finishers, please see below.
