KANSAS CITY - Sophomore Emily Nealley of Central Methodist was selected the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week on Monday afternoon.

A packed field at the Missouri Southern Stampede included Nealley, who crossed the line among the top finishers in the race. A native of Gravois Mills, Mo., she claimed third place with a time of 18:15 on the 5K course, the third-fastest time at that distance in Eagles' history.

The weekly award winner will represent the HAAC in consideration for the NAIA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week award, which will be announced no later than Tuesday afternoon.
