Fayette, Mo. - The No. 9 Central Methodist volleyball program fell in three sets to No. 5 Missouri Baptist by scores of 25-17, 25-16, and 25-23 Tuesday night in Puckett Fieldhouse.
With the loss, Central falls to 13-6 overall, while the Spartans improve to 15-2.
Callie Henson led the Eagles's offense with 12 kills and a game-high .545 hitting percentage. Annabelle Maassen finished the evening with eight kills and 11 digs. Sophomore libero Krystal Brauner led the the defense with 12 digs.
Anna Wolfe collected four block assists and Grace Stumbaugh recorded three. Marina Alonso played in all three sets, dishing out a team-high 18 assists. Elise Hardesty-Irvin added 11 assists.
Missouri Baptist recorded a .276 hitting percentage, compared to just .152 for CMU.
The Eagles have concluded regular season play and will next compete in the Opening Round of the NAIA Volleyball National Championship beginning Saturday, April 17.
