Overland Park, Kan. - The Central Methodist Women's Golf program finished fifth at the 2025 Heart of America Conference Championships this week at Jack Nicklaus Lion's Gate in Overland Park, Kansas.
The event featured 12 teams including; Baker, Central Methodist, Clarke, Graceland, MidAmerica Nazarene, Grand View, Missouri Valley, Mount Mercy, (RV) Park, Peru State and (RV) William Penn.
Central finished the two-day tournament with a three-round score of 1092.
Junior Mechelle Vermillion was Central's highest finisher, placing 12th with a three-round score of 252. It marks her best finish at the conference tournament to date.
Reagan Bell also landed inside the Top 15, tying for 15th with a score of 258.
Tanier Massey (29th - 285), Lauren Williams (47th - 195), and Karington Harrell (48th - 209) also competed for the Eagles.
William Penn took home the team title, winning the event by 11 strokes over second-place Baker.
