Fulton, Mo. - The Central Methodist Women's Golf program posted a third-place finish at the William Woods Spring Invitational this week at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, Missouri.
The nine-team, two-day tournament featured Columbia College, John A. Logan College, CMU, William Woods, Health Sciences & Pharmacy, Crowder, State Fair Community College, North Central Missouri, and Cottey.
Central earned a third-place standing after compiling a team score of 652. The Eagles improved their day two score by six strokes and finished just five strokes back from second place John A. Logan.
It marks the sixth time during the 2024-25 season that the Eagles have finished third or better in tournament play.
Mechelle Vermillion had another solid tournament, finishing third after firing rounds of 81 and 76 for a total of 157. Reagan Bell was just one stroke back, finishing in a tie for fourth with a score of 158.
Kyambria Acy also landed in the Top 10, finishing in a three-way tie for seventh place with a score of 161.
Kali Brown (20th - 176), Karington Harrell (30th - 189), Lauren Williams (32nd - 191), and Tanier Massey (34th - 201) also competed for the Eagles.
Central continues spring competition, splitting its squads next Monday and Tuesday at both the UHSP and Missouri Valley Spring Invitationals.
