Boonville, Mo. - The Central Methodist Women's Golf program had a strong showing at CMU's Spring Invitational this week at Hail Ridge Golf Course in Boonville, Mo.
Central finished second out of five teams with a final two-round team score of 694. Mount Mercy won the tournament with a score of 662.
Missouri Valley (698), William Woods (707), and Waldorf (777) rounded out the third, fourth, and fifth-place finishes for the tournament.
Junior Mechelle Vermillion was Central's highest finisher, as the native of Wagoner, Oklahoma, placed fifth with a two-round score of 165.
Reagan Bell tied for 10th with scores of 87 and 88 for a two-round total of 175. Tanier Massey and Kyambria Acy both tied for 12th with scores of 177.
Lauren Williams (19th - 186), Kali Brown (21st - 187), and Karington Harrell (23rd - 200) also competed for the Eagles.
Central will next compete in the William Woods Spring Invitational beginning Monday, March 31, at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, Mo.
