Fulton, Mo. - The Central Methodist Women's Golf team posted a third-place finish at the WWU Fall Invitational hosted by William Woods earlier this week in Fulton, Mo.
The two-day tournament, held at Tanglewood Golf Course, featured 53 golfers from eight institutions.
As a team, the Eagles posted a two-round score of 633, finishing behind Park (1st - 585) and Columbia College (2nd - 599). It marks the second straight tournament the Eagles have finished in the top three.
Freshman Chloe Fong was Central's highest placer, as Fong fired rounds of 75 and 79 for a two-round total of 154 to place 13th. Regan Bell followed, tying for 16th with a score of 157, and then Mechelle Vermillion (t-18th, 158).
Kali Brown (22nd - 164), Lauren Williams (24th - 165), Karrington Harrell (25th - 166), Kyambria Acy (32nd - 175), and Tanier Massey (33rd - 176) rounded out Central's golfers competing Monday and Tuesday.
Central will host the CMU Fall Invitational Sept. 23-24 at Hail Ridge Golf Course in Boonville, Mo.
