Raymore, Mo. - The Central Methodist Women's Golf program placed third at the 2022 Heart of America Women's Golf Conference Championship, which took place Monday and Tuesday at the Creekmor Golf Course in Raymore, Mo.
The Eagles finished the two day tournament with a three round team score of 1017, just two strokes back of second place Park. William Penn won the team title with a three round total of 978.
For the second consecutive year, Cassandra Contreras was named the Heart Women's Golf Player of the Year. The sophomore from Goodyear, Ariz. overcame a tough first day on the course and battled back on the final day to finish in the top 10 with a final score of 250. She was also named to the Heart All-Conference Team.
Fellow teammate Sarah Krenowicz led Central, firing rounds of 88, 81, and 80 for a three-round total of 249 to finish eighth. She joined Contreras as an Heart All-Conference performer. Alea Andrade also landed on the Heart All-Conference team for her performance during the regular season.
