Kansas City, Mo. - After claiming her first individual championship this spring, Central Methodist sophomore golfer Cassandra Contreras was named the Heart Women's Golfer of the Week by the conference office Monday. 

Contreras has now won the award on five different occassions this year including, March 14, Oct. 19, Oct. 11, Oct. 4, and Sept. 20. 

The native of Goodyear, Ariz. won the Crestview Spring Invitational this past week in Wichita, Kan. She placed first out of 34 other golfers with a single-round score 74 and led the CMU Women to the team victory with a final round of 337.
