Wichita, Kan. - The Central Methodist men's and women's golf programs opened the 2022 spring season at the Crestview Spring Invitational Tuesday afternoon in Wichita, Kan.
The women claimed the team title with a single round score of 337, while the men finished tied for second with a final score of 303.
Cassandra Contreras won the individual championship with a round one score of 74 out of 35 golfers. Fellow teammate Alea Andrade posted a Top 10 finish with a single score of 87, followed by Sarah Krenowicz (T-10, 87), Logan Allen (T-17, 92), and Riley Burns (T-19, 93).
On the men's side, Matias Baccola finished T-3 with a single round score of 73, followed by Tiago Swart who played T-10 with a round of 76. Tomas Lopez Mazzalay (T-18, 77), Nzelu Maitha (T-18, 77), and Aaron Teece (T-41, 82) also competed for the Eagles.
The Eagles will next compete in the Ron Streck Invitational March 14-15 at MeadowBrook Country Club in Tulsa, Okla.
