Peru, Neb. - The No. 10 Central Methodist Softball program picked up a pair of road wins over Peru State College Friday afternoon in Peru, Nebraska.
Central defeated the Bobcats by scores of 8-0 and 18-8.
The Eagles improve to 34-6 and 18-2 in the Heart of America, while Peru State falls to 9-29 and 4-14 in conference play.
Game 1: No. 10 CMU 8 - Peru State 0
The Eagles got their first runs of the game in the second inning when they put up a three-spot. Carly Robbins pushed across the first two runs followed by a Joely Crider RBI.
Central increased their 3-0 lead to five as Madison Roberts singled to centerfield to bring home two more in the fourth inning.
In that same frame, Rachel Brandt added on two more runs with a two-RBI single of her own to push the lead to 7-0.
Lauren Hill put the finishing touches on the game with an RBI-single left to score Kayla Richardson.
Haley Cotter threw a complete six-inning game while allowing just six hits, one walk, and striking out two.
Central's offense was very balanced with Brandt leading the charge, going two-for-four with two RBI in the 8-0 victory.
Game 2: No. 10 CMU 18 - Peru State 8
This time it was Peru State jumping out to an early lead after scoring one in the first. Their celebration was cut short when CMU responded with eight runs the following inning.
The big bat came from Kaysie Jolley who connected on a three-run home run.
In the third inning, Elizabeth Palumbo singled to center to bring home Daly Garland to push Central's lead to 9-3 after the Bobcats got two runs in the bottom of the second.
CMU's bats continued to explode in the fourth inning with nine additional runs.
Brandt and Garland both finished the frame with RBI singles.
Jolley had a phenomenal game at the plate, going three-for-three with five RBI and a walk in the mercy rule win.
The Eagles collected a total of 16 hits on their 18 runs.

Central will return to the diamond to host Park University Tuesday, April 22 for a doubleheader at 2:00 and 4:00 at Cox Softball Complex.
