Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist Senior catcher Lauren Hill was tabbed as this week's Heart of America Softball Player of the Week by the conference office Monday.
It marks the first weekly award for Hill this season and the second of her career.
The native of California, Missouri led No. 9 Central to a 3-1 record this week, including a doubleheader sweep over Missouri Valley College.
Central concluded the week with a doubleheader split against (RV) Benedictine College in the NAIA SB Heart Series of the Week Sunday.
In four games, Hill batted .692 with a 1.231 slugging percentage. She tallied nine hits in 13 at bats which included four doubles and a home run.
Altogether, Hill drove in seven total RBI.
Hill and the Eagles are currently 28-6 and 12-2 in the Heart of America. Central will next host William Penn for a double header Saturday, April 12 at 1:00 p.m. at Cox Softball Complex.
