Fayette, Mo. - The No. 7 Central Methodist Softball program picked up two more wins Sunday afternoon over Stephens College at Cox Softball Complex.
Central defeated Stephens 18-1 in game one, followed by a 15-1 victory in game two.
Game 1: No. 7 CMU 18 - Stephens 1
In the bottom of the first with runners on second and third, Kaysie Jolley grounded out to the pitcher but reached base safely following an error, allowing Elizabeth Palumbo to score.
The Stars' defense had another miscue right after, leading Maddie Holly to score the second run.
In the bottom of the second, Central doubled their lead, as Joely Crider, Palumbo, Madison Roberts, Holly, and Lauren Hill all came around to score.
The Stars would get one run back in the top of the third, capitalizing on a single to right center field.
The Eagles never let off the gas, plating two more runs in the third followed by six in the fourth.
With an 18-1 scoreline, Central would get their first mercy rule win of the day after five innings of play.
Holly had a perfect day at the plate, going three-for-three while driving in three and coming around to score twice.
Khloe Perkins was the winning pitcher, pitching a complete game and allowing just four hits and one run.
The freshman issued three free passes while striking out four in her first collegiate win.
Game 2: No. 7 CMU 15 - Stephens 1
Central would continue their impressive day in the second game of the doubleheader.
They pushed across the first three runs of the game in the bottom of the first, with the first coming on a double from Palumbo to score Crider.
Palumbo would then come around to score herself on Jolley's double to left center field. Hill would close out the inning with a triple to bring in one more run, giving the Eagles a 3-0 lead.
Central would extend their advantage to 9-0 in the bottom of the second in large part thanks to a three-run blast by Crider.
The hitting endeavors would carry into the bottom of the third, with Central adding six more runs.
Stephens tried responding in the top of the fourth and got one run back, making it a 15-1 game.
Central earned their second double-digit win of the day and their ninth overall victory of the early season.
CMU's pitching was highlighted by Cassidy Brent who improved her overall record to 2-2.
The senior pitched a complete five-inning game while allowing one unearned run on five hits with one strikeout.

Central will hit the road for the Gulf Shores Invitational, beginning Friday, March 8 in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
