Kansas City, Mo. - The Central Methodist Softball team led the nation with 16 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete Award winners, which were announced by the national office.
The program tied for the most in the country, along with Embry-Riddle (Ariz.), Madonna (Mich.), and Pikeville (Ky.).
Among the 1,250 student-athletes from across the country to be recognized, the following CMU athletes were included; Abbie Marshall, Breanna Hollowell, Carly Robbins, Daly Garland, Elizabeth Palumbo, Emily Bell, Haile Farris, Joely Crider, Jordyn Ball, Katherine Schneider, Kaysie Jolley, Kelena Oots, Lauren Hill, Madison Roberts, Madison White, and Natalie Guerrero.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year at said institution.
