Eagles Sweep First Heart Softball Weekly Awards

Eagles Sweep First Heart Softball Weekly Awards

Kansas City, Mo. - In the first edition of the Heart Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week awards of 2024, Central Methodist swept both honors, as Lauren Hill was named the Player of the Week, while Jordyn Ball earned Pitcher of the Week honors.

Hill had a stellar showing at the dish this weekend, as the Eagles posted a 3-0 record, including wins over McPherson and Bellevue.

In three games the California, Missouri native batted .556 with five hits including two doubles and a home run. She also drove in six runners.

Ball threw two complete games en route to a 2-0 record. She tossed a no-hitter against the Bulldogs Friday, marking the fourth no-hitter of her career.

In 12 total innings of work, she allowed just one earned run and she struck out a total of 15 batters, including 11 against the Bruins Sunday.

The Eagles head out on the road for a weekend tournament at the NFCA Leadoff Classic beginning Friday, March 16 in Columbus, Georgia.
