Kansas City, Mo. - After a stellar showing inside the circle, Central Methodist freshman pitcher Jordyn Ball was named the Heart Softball Pitcher of the Week by the conference office.
It marks the first Heart award for Ball this season.
The native of Fayette, Mo. posted a 3-0 record this past week, including wins over William Penn, Peru State and Park. In each victory she threw a complete game shutout, including a perfect game against Peru State on April 22.
Altogether, in 19 innings in the circle, the freshman allowed just six hits while striking out 16 batters.
Ball and the Eagles will next face the Mount Mercy Mustangs Wednesday, April 26 for a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m.
