Kansas City, Mo. - For the first time in her career, Central Methodist junior outfielder Kelena Oots was named the Heart Softball Player of the Week by the conference office.
The native of Kansas City, Mo., led No. 21 CMU to two doubleheader sweeps over MNU and Graceland this past weekend.
In the four games, Oots batted eight-for-15 at the plate, including a double and two RBI. In addition, she crossed the plate five times and picked up four stolen bases.
Oots and the Eagles will next travel to Baldwin City, Kan. to face No. 4 nationally ranked Baker University for a doubleheader beginning Friday, April 7 at 1:00 p.m.
