Offense Explodes in Central's Two Wins over Westminster

Fulton, Mo. - The Central Methodist Softball Program earned two convincing victories over Westminster College by scores of 17-0 and 22-0 Monday afternoon in Fulton, Mo. 

Joely Crider led the Eagle bats, batting a perfect three-for-three including two doubles and five RBI in game one. Elizabeth Palumbo picked up a pair of hits including a double and three RBI. 

Madison Roberts recorded a solo home run while Katelyn Kiser, and Abby McEntire each collected two hits.

Freshman Jordyn Ball tossed her first career no-hitter, pitching five complete innings and striking out 10 batters.

In game two, Breanna Hollowell hit a grand slam in the third inning. Carly Robbins also homered in the fourth inning, while Madison Roberts and Crider each picked up doubles. Roberts drove in two RBI on a double, and then drew a bases loaded walk in the second inning.

Haile Farris earned her second win of the year in the circle, tossing five complete innings and giving up no runs on just one hit. She also struck out six batters. 

The Eagles improve to 11-5 and will next play Missouri Baptist for a doubleheader on Tuesday, March 21 beginning at 2:00 p.m. in St. Louis, Mo.
